Agreement to these terms
By creating an account or using NeuroBase, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
Not medical advice
NeuroBase surfaces published neuroscience research to help parents and clinicians stay informed. Nothing on NeuroBase is medical advice. Articles, AI-generated summaries, clinical trial information, intervention overviews, and any other content on the platform are provided for informational purposes only.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions about a child's diagnosis, treatment, or care. NeuroBase does not recommend specific treatments, therapies, or clinical trials for any individual.
Who can use NeuroBase
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that:
- You are 18 or older.
- You are using the platform on behalf of yourself or, where applicable, as a parent, guardian, or licensed clinician acting on behalf of a minor.
- The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You may not share your account with others or use another person's account. Notify us immediately via our contact page if you suspect unauthorised access.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use NeuroBase for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or reproduce NeuroBase content or infrastructure at scale.
- Upload or transmit malicious code.
- Misrepresent your professional credentials (e.g. claiming a clinical tier you are not entitled to).
Content and intellectual property
Article abstracts and metadata sourced from PubMed are in the public domain via the NCBI E-utilities API. Clinical trial data is sourced from ClinicalTrials.gov, a public resource operated by the US National Library of Medicine.
AI-generated plain-language summaries, the NeuroBase interface, design, and all original written content are owned by NeuroBase. You may not reproduce or distribute them without permission.
Research sharing
When you share a research package with a care team member or family, you are responsible for ensuring the recipient has consented to receive it. NeuroBase delivers the message on your behalf but is not responsible for how shared content is used by the recipient.
Disclaimer of warranties
NeuroBase is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any information on it is complete, accurate, or up to date. Research published in scientific journals may be revised, retracted, or superseded after it appears on NeuroBase.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NeuroBase and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the platform, including any decisions made in reliance on content found here.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to others. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon termination, your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the app. Continued use of NeuroBase after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
